Getting Started

Here are the critical first steps to success:

  1. Obtain The Bible in 90 Days specially designed NIV Thinline Larger-Print Bible.
“It was important for me to find a Large Print NIV Bible, but I did not want it to 'look' so much like a Bible. It was also very important for me to know and accept up front that this is God’s Word, literally. I asked myself, 'Can I accept that this is the literal Word of God?' Once I accepted this, things became much clearer. I had significant change, peace, and realized that I previously had the wrong view of the world, and that I was not the one in control. God put things in place. Reading the Bible took on a whole different approach.” Ted Cooper Jr.

  2. Memorize your mission and make a FIRM COMMITMENT up front!
Your mission: to READ, attentively, every word of the Bible in 90 days. Don’t expect to be able to consciously recall everything you read. At this point, focus on what you can recall and don’t worry about the rest. And don’t expect to understand everything you read. Pay attention to what you do understand and don’t worry about the rest.

  3. Pray the Commitment Prayer.

God, you’ve invited each of us here [today/tonight] to embark on this 14-week adventure. While we understand the general parameters of this journey and may have some idea where it will lead, we also know unanticipated twists and turns await. Ultimately we believe there are significant truths you want to teach us about you, the world, and ourselves. As each of us prays our silent decision to you, we ask that you give us the strength to respond to your desires more strongly than to our own. Hear us as we each pray silently for one minute. [After one minute] In your Son’s name we pray, amen.

  4. Register for an account on this site and commit to a start date.
We'll provide you with a personalized reading plan, and an online progress tracker and welcome you into our online community, where we share our experiences and encourage each other on this journey.

  5. Begin reading only 12 pages a day.
Based on research, 12 pages a day is the most comfortable amount of text to read each day.
