I've been trying to read the whole bible but each time when I reached around Isaiah, I got so confused with the names and events that I have to stop and track back what I have been reading. Hopefully this round I will be able to finish the whole bible in 90 days without an issue.

I have begun my next attempt to read the bible in 90 days. And as I read from another website on how to be completely devoted to God. It struck me how God gave us the bible to better understand first man's experiences on earth. This led me to think of how Jesus spoke in parables to his listener, followers and I've come to realize that God has given us this perfect life/world and we as humans see the wonderful creations but then we are as disobedient children and ruin our lives by how we tend to lead them down wrong paths, clearly knowing that God awaits for us if we take the correct path. We knowingly turn away from Him and when we find ourselves lost we are pleading for his refuge. I love God! I love this beautiful world He has created and I love the beauty and the opportunity that He constantly provides for us when we realize our own mistakes, faults, and disobedience to Him.

The Earth was divided in the time of Peleg. WoW! I missed this the many times I've read the beginning before :-) I appreciate this because its is good support for there not being a "BIG BOOM".
11:5 - 7
Is this a set up for failure? Since we do not understand each other we fight. Or is it teaching us to be multi-lingual. In order to survive, change the world, and heal the earth. Is it language as in English/French/Spanish. Or is it figurative languages: love/hate, peace/violence, joy/unhappy.
15:1
"Do not be afraid Tan
I am your shield, your very great reward"
At the beginning of a season such as this I must remember Gen. 15.

I just got finished my first reading. No offense to anyone, but I felt that God was made out to be a big bully in this first reading. Okay, here's what I mean:
1. He puts a good-looking tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden, then tells Adam not to eat it. He tempts Adam!
2. Adam and Eve eat from it anyway, and God curses them.
3. God's afraid they'll eat from the other tree and live forever, so he bans them from the Garden.
4. He destroys everything with a flood.
Another note about the flood is that afterward, God regretted it. So God's also made out to be very impulsive, not thinking before doing.

It was kind of weird to try to read it almost as a novel instead of reading it devotionally or studiously. I am excited, and am praying that the baby's new schedule continues so I can read with my coffee before she awakes in the morning to join me!

Accepting this challenge is so exciting! Day 1 was really tricky! I wanted to read but then it was unfamiliar to read all that. Reading the creation story spoke of God's love for mankind so deeply. When we sinned, he still took time to dress Adam amd Eve up. When Cain killed Abel, God protected Him! What a God!
Also, I realised that God was pleased with all he made, including me. He kep saying "It is good" and afterman, He said "It is very good". It's exciting to know the value God places on us. I know that Iam special.
God created using WORDS..since we are made in His image, we also create with our words. It doesn't matter if everything is "dark and empty" we can still speak life and beauty. Knowing that I creae with my words just like my father-God, makes me more careful!

I have read about creation, the fall of man, the curse of serpent, and the promise of defeat. Also the first murder of Cain who killed Abel, then the curse that God gave him of the ground not producing fruit for him and him having no home and no peace in life. Then Adam and Eve had another son Seth and we follow his family lineage to Noah. Noah has three sons Shem, Hem, and Japheth. God tells Noah to build an ark to specific dimensions and to gather two of every creature on the earth, Male and female. Then the flood comes they are in the boat for more than half a year before the floods reside.
