Wow! What an awesome thing to be able to declare the everlasting power and love of my heavenly Father. Lord, only You could have determined my path and had knowledge of things to come. Not only so, but You commanded the blessings to pursue me. I am priviledged to know that I am Your child and with my whole heart say, LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.

Came into Isaiah today. Lots of familiar passages. A couple verses that stuck out to me today:
Is. 26:8-9 ....Your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.
vs. 8 is the cry of mine and my husband's hearts in the midst of our church & community.
I thought I might "catch up" in my reading this weekend but I actually got another day behind. So today I finally did 2 days of reading so I am not any extra days behind.

In todays reading, I have learnt how much I caused the Lord, our God to anger. Often we ignor the commands from God through his servants.
We use our positions/status in places where the Lord placed us and undermine advices from those under our leadership not noticing that it was a message from God, Just to alert on the storms ahead. Only when the company is facing disuster, is then that one recall the advices.
It seems to be the nature of man to sin and call for cleansing i.e. to be wounded and healed. It is true, as promised; it's God's nature to give his unfailing love to forgive us our sins, but can't we avoid the danger since there are signs.

This is not a means to an end. I used to have the mindset of "finish this just to say you did it." I didn't want to be the only person at my Christian communications company who had not read through the entire Bible! *Gasp*
My mindset has changed a lot since I started. It boils down to that old Christian argument: can you get to God through good works? The answer is no. (For those of you who have not read the entire Bible, and otherwise would know.) :-) All kidding aside, I am not going to better myself because I read the Bible in 90 days. I am going to read the Bible in 90 days because I already have the spirit within me to read God's word. You can argue about the validity of reading the Bible in 90 days - the 12 pages breaks the reading up too much or you don't delve into the text enough. Valid arguments. However...
