Day 16

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Thu, 01/26/2006 - 17:36.

While I was reading, I couldn't help but think of one battle after another for their inheritance and with God's blessing! Just knowing God is doing all of this for you, wow!

Day 15

God, I want to Thank you for not giving up on me, for loving me unconditionally, and more importantly, giving me You; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Day 13

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Fri, 01/13/2006 - 16:43.

Different things caught my heart today. One thing for sure, is how Moses prepares them for his departure. Always reminding them to put God first and foremost in their hearts, minds and souls.

Day 12

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Thu, 01/12/2006 - 09:59.

As I read daily, I find myself thinking about the times of old. I am surrounded with thoughts, feelings, images, circling my mind. Why even last night, I turned on the TV and there was a program called, "Walking Through The Bible." Wow, I couldn't believe it, so of course I continued to watch it, captivated.

I really enjoy our daily readings and I pray God continues to strengthen me for his glory.

Day 11

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Wed, 01/11/2006 - 12:01.

I am amazed how God continues to show his mercy. Again, it's like parenting a child who continues to pout, which I can easily relate to as not only am I guilty of such acts, I see my children doing this. Thankfully, God loves us enough to be patient with us.

Day 10

I am humbled by our awesome God.

Day 9

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Mon, 01/09/2006 - 10:15.

Since I've started reading the Bible in 90 Days, a self awareness has surfaced, inwardly I feel a sense of peace. I am not sure why but I welcome it as this is not the 'norm' for me. I am always on the run and have lots of children in our home. In addition, I have a full time job, meetings at church, school, parent-teacher conferences, plays, concerts, and the list goes on and on for a 24 hour period, 7 days a week. I get tired thinking about it.

I find it intriguing how detailed God is as he explains the Laws to Moses. My relationship with God has always represented a Father daughter relationship. As I read, on occasion, I begin to visualize his great sense of power, (Moses' face radiated as he was in presence of the Lord, Aaron's two sons immediately died as they approached the presence of the Lord, unannounced at the Tent of Meeting, of their own free will, rather than in accordance to God's laws). Looking at him in this light, seems a little intimidating however, I trust in the Lord, and whatever he's doing, it's for His glory.

Day 8

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Sun, 01/08/2006 - 14:32.

In today's reading, I see that ceremonies are highly regarded to our Lord. Glory be to God.

Day 7

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Sat, 01/07/2006 - 18:00.

I can't even imagine how one must have felt during this time. Glory to God.

Day 6

Submitted by Brenda Brown on Fri, 01/06/2006 - 11:06.

Again, I am amazed with today's reading. First, how the Israelites witness such wonders of our Lord, and when they encounter hard times, lack of food and water, they become angry with Moses and question God. Each time God is patient and supply their means. God does not let this go unnoticed as he mentioned it to Moses, however, as a patient Father, he supplies their needs.

Things are not much different today, people behaving selfishly, I want this, or I have to have that. When I think of it in terms of a parent-child relationship, God has to have a sense of humor and a great deal of patience.
