Amazing accounts of God wanting to return his people from exile. Zechariah and Malachi are short, yet wonderous in announcing the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Reading through the 12 Minor Prophets was interesting, yet I learned a lot and managed to piece together the timeline between them all. I wonder if anyone knows why Ezra and Nehemiah are placed after Chronicles and before Job, even though those two books go hand in hand with Zechariah and Malachi which are the last two books of the OT. Another observation is the temple that Ezekiel envisioned is the same temple that was built in the book of Nehemiah, but for some reason they aren't the exact measurements and all that jazz.

After reading through Samuel and 1 Kings, the accounts of David and Solomon to Elijah and Elisha blow my mind! Never (besides Jesus) have I read such amazing accounts of God's love and blessing on His people through them. Thus far this journey through the Bible has been amazing!

It's amazing that a week has gone by and I completed Genesis and Exodus. There is so much I have learned about God just from these first two books alone. It's interesting how these two books set the course for Israel's historic journey with God and how God has shown Israel that He is the one true God and there is no other like Him. Two of the most significant things God said was, "I AM WHO I AM." and when God passed in front of Moses and said, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin." That statement holds so much power, grace and truth and if further confirmed through Jesus Christ.

I figured that when God created everything from Day 1 to Day 6 and rested on Day seven, that this does not literally mean Monday through Sunday, although some people follow that model. I think each day stood for a certain period of time that can't be determined. How can we account for the historical and physical evidence of dinosaurs and their relation to creation? Fossils have been found dating back to millions of years ago. According to creation, humanity is fairly new compared to that of the era of dinosaurs, so what does all of that mean?
Also, does the flood God brought forth on the Earth really mean the entire Earth was flooded or that specific region?
