I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God
After all that Job went through, including not so helpful friends, the questioning, he still believes...
And to fully understand the meaning of my Redeemer!

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."
I just wanted to counterpoint someone else’s journal entry, which I suspect is not a journal entry at all.
Ruth--—“your people will be my people“ and became a descendant of David and Jesus!
Esther--—”If I perish, I perish.” and saved her nation by her courage.
Now Job...

Day 30, ⅓ through the Bible. I had started to read the Bible through at the first of the year and stopped for whatever reason. I had found this site and took the challenge. As the verse says in the title, let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. It is important to read to get the big picture and not get bogged down in details. You can always come back later to dig into details. I pray for all of my fellow sojourners--—God’s blessing!

The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength
Jesus repeated these words in the Gospels. Deut. seems to be a book of repetitions. I sure we all need to be reminded of what “The Lord Our God” has done for us.
