While reading about Noah and Abraham I was almost overwhelmed. I've read these passages countless times in the past, but I had never thought about this before.
The Old Testament heroes we read about had faith that was so strong. Noah built an ark in a time when it had never rained. Abraham had been childless for so long, yet he was willing to sacrifice Isaac. And they didn't have an advantage Christians have today. The Holy Spirit was not living within them. The Comforter was not sent until Jesus returned to the right hand of His Father.
We all fall short in our walk. But, I find it difficult to justify now.

The Power of God is amazing. When I look out the window I see the trees, grass, sky, clouds, and everything that is His creation. Man struggles to paint pictures that can accurately depict our world, yet God simply spoke it into existence. It is just one example to remind us what a wonderful God we serve.

I have attempted the Bible in a year plans in the past. In all honesty, I got bored with the monotony and would end up scrapping the plan and going on with other things. When I first saw the study guide on the shelf, the notion of reading the Bible in 90 days sounded ridiculous. However, the more I thought about it the more I liked the idea. So, I picked up The Bible in 90 Days and made a commitment to complete the mission. I read the first 12 pages and found it did not take long to do and got excited about the process. In all honesty, I will have to struggle to take 90 days, I am tempted to read 12 pages in the morning and evening.
