Thank You Jesus for all You have done for me. Thank You for loving me when I have been most unlovable.

In I Chronicles 4:10: "Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request."
I know You are no respecter of persons oh God. I cry out this same request: Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. Thank You LORD!

This story:
"1 Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the LORD had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. 2 Now bands from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman's wife. 3 She said to her mistress, "If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy." 4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 5 "By all means, go," the king of Aram replied. "I will send a letter to the king of Israel." So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing. 6 The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: "With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy."

The younger prophet heard from the the LORD that he was not to eat and drink with those he had been sent to and he was not to return the same way he came. The older prophet deceived the younger one and told him that the word of the LORD had come to him and he should eat and drink with him. He obeyed the older prophet instead of obeying the LORD and the younger prophet lost his life as a result. This is a reminder to me that I should hear God's word for myself and obey what His instructions are for me.

That's it: "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent men you save me." Over and over again He proves Himself faithful!

When I consider the sun or... stars many times larger than the sun and.... millions of light years away and then the smallest of things...cells and the stuff that holds them together and the intricate detail of it all and then think of myself...I am so grateful. "He is before all things and in Him all things consist" Col 1:17
"Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from Him." 2 Samuel 14:14

Saul is consumed with jealousy, hatred, and murder. He has had two clear opportunities to recognize that David is not his enemy but he refuses. He is his own worst enemy. His own disobedience becomes his destruction. David refuses to raise his havid gainst Gods anointed...even though he has ample opportunity to do so.

God gives man instructions. Man obeys for a time. Man gets greedy, comfortable, bored, overconfident, etc. and disobeys God. Man pays for his disobedience through calamity. Man cries out to God in his calamity for God to rescue him. God rescues and gives man instructions...help me Lord to obey your instructions for me.

"9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. 10 But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him."
Thank you for the new covenant Lord!
