I can't imagine being an Israelite... especially Moses! and having to build the altar and the ark and the priestly garments and doing everything just right... and all that gold! Goodness... that explains why God made sure the Egyptians gave the Israelites their gold and silver before the exodus... wow.
Craziness. So many little specifications!

Even though Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, God ended up using that situation to keep the people of Israel (Jacob) alive. God can definately use suffering for good!
Interesting how Joseph took Jacob's bones and had them buried with Isaac's and Abraham's, but when Joseph died he told his sons to carry his bones out of Egypt some day. I wonder why he didn't have them carry his out to the burial place of his fathers... hm. Maybe I missed something, maybe the answer is yet to come.
I don't understand the bit about putting the silver cup in Benjamin's sack and therefore bringing all his brothers back to Egypt... why didn't Joseph just keep them there... or was it so that one of the brothers would be indebted to him? Hm... I dunno. But yeah it all worked out :)

Man, I love the creation story. I've read it before, but it tasted new when I read it today :)
I see in scripture that even after Adam and Eve sinned, God didn't leave them. He made them garments of skin to wear, and he didn't give up on humanity.
I saw in Noah's story that God is not so much angry with sin, but grieved by the sin of man. Makes me see that my sin doesn't so much make God really angry at me, but I think he's more sad to see me sin.
I'm wondering why the raven was able to find ground, but the dove wasn't... hm.
Oh, and God didn't give man meat to eat until after the flood! Wow.

Ok, so excited AND nervous :)
I crave the spiritual food of God's Word so much... this should be a feast. I'm scheduled to start Sunday, but I might change that if I get all my homework in order tomorrow.
So... woot. I've tried to read the Bible in a year before, but I never last more than about 3 months... and lo and behold, here is a 3-month plan. I don't actually have the 'Bible in 90 days', I'll just be using the Bible I've had for a while. But hey it works :)
So I'm excited.
And praying for the diligence to stick with it! :)
God, reveal yourself to me!
I'm looking forward to this so much, I wanna just drink it all in!
