Recommendations for Successful Study Groups

  • Have 6 to 12 people per group
  • Meet once a week to discuss readings
  • Meet for one hour each week
  • Plan time and location
  • Use flyers, posters, bookmarks, and bulletin inserts to recruit participants
  • Use name tags (a motivation technique for others to get to know each other personally and thus increase accountability)
  • Prep leader(s) for accountability
  • Assign accountability partners

“Accountability” is one of the pillars of a successful experience with The Bible in 90 Days. There is no greater accountability than when one makes a commitment to God. Even nonbelievers typically respect such a solemn promise. Take a few minutes to prepare the group or class for the commitment prayer.

Why accountability is important...
It helps you not get behind or discouraged
It holds your partner to the mission
It encourages you and your group members not to get behind
IDEA: As accountability partners, email/mail each other small gifts, poems, or short stories to encourage and help each other through the significant milestones and tough times. Recognize others for their accomplishments.
