Day 30---David, The Shepherd Boy Becomes King

These chapters are the story of David as he becomes king. It begins when King Saul kills himself along with three sons die. As King David is quite a man of battle. God allows him to conquer the land of Canaan and take control killing many other Kings making Israel the most powerful nation at that time in history. King David has a huge army of crafted warriors, very very skilled with the sword, slings shot, skilled archers and good leaders. As David grows older he desire to build a beautiful temple to hold the Ark of the Covenant and show the Lord his love and devotion. The Lord does not allow him to build a temple but allows his son Solomon to build quiet an extravagant temple. King David is allowed to gather many of the items to build the temple. Massive amounts of gold, 2000 tons, silver, bronze, stone and a great amount of cedar wood. During the time of King Solomon Israel was a country of much peace and contentment unlike David's time of governing which was filled with a lot of battles to prepare for the peace during King Solomon's reign in the Israel.
