Today's reading has opened my eyes to the ease of slipping into a dependence of self and lack of dependence on God. Obviously, man finds it really easy to lose focus on God's plan when experiencing victories and realizes just how much(or how little), he has in his own power for any duration. God brings us back to our senses by allowing us to face the eminent difficulties of life without Him.

Father, may I find favor with You in times of putting Your love to the test. As demonstrated in the passages, may Your heart always be in touch with my heart's desire to please You. Thank You for making me to see that time and again, You're proven of the divine love You have for all of mankind.
